Scenic View Campground - Activities Schedule

Our planned activities will keep you busy for the entire summer ... at least when you don’t prefer to enjoy a refreshing dip in our crystal-clear, heated swimming pool. Those planned activities include hayrides and live entertainment, presented under a large canopy which defies those occasional days when the sun doesn’t shine.

May
May 8-10 – Mother’s Day Weekend
Friday	Campground opens for the season!
Saturday 11:00AM	Kids’ activity ($) TBD.
4:00PM	Happy Hour! Meet in rec hall for a get-together. BYOB and appetizer to share. See ya there!
Sunday 8:00-9:00AM	Mother’s Day breakfast buffet ($). Mothers eat FREE w/paying adult. Must sign up by 6:00PM on Saturday. Join us for a delicious spread with all the favorites. The best part? No cooking and no mess for mom!
May 22-25 – Memorial Day Celebration
Saturday
10:00AM	Kiddie scavenger hunt! Meet at store to pick up scavenger list. Teams TBA.
2:00PM	Field games, TBD.
7:00-10:00PM	Join us under the canopy for a tribute to rock and roll! Pete Winn and his band, Lowdown, will get you movin’!
Sunday
2:00PM	Ice cream social ($). Join us for the biggest ice cream sundae around. Choose your ice cream and toppings! Location TBD.
7:00PM	Hayride, meet at store.

June
June 19-21 – Father’s Day Weekend
Saturday
10:00AM	Kids’ activity ($). Make your own handprint t-shirt for dad (bring a t-shirt to use), location TBD.
Sunday
8:00-9:00AM	Father’s Day breakfast buffet ($). Fathers eat FREE w/paying adult. All the favorites. Sign up by 6:00PM on Saturday.
June 26-28 – School’s Out for the Summer
Saturday
2:00PM	Strawberry shortcake social ($). YUM! Location TBD.
Dusk	Outdoor movie night on the big screen! (Weather permitting.) Bring your chairs, blankets, pillows, etc., and cozy up for a movie under the stars. Popcorn and snacks available.

July
July 3-6 – Fourth of July Celebration
Saturday
10:00AM	Decorate your bikes for kiddie bike parade!
11:00AM	Kiddie bike parade. Join us for a parade around the campground. Don’t forget your cameras!
2:00-6:00PM	Scenic view carnival ($). We’ve rented a bounce house and dunk tank for your enjoyment. Carnival games and much more.

7:00PM	Candy Bar Bingo.
July 10-12 – Warren Old Home Day Festivities – Join in on great food, music, and many other activities on the Town Common.
Saturday
9:00AM	Water aerobics. Just do laps or jump around in the shallow end for a great workout before all that fair food, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the pool before it gets busy (adults only).
July 17-19 – Hawaiian Weekend
Saturday
12:00-1:00PM	Poolside pizza party ($). Meet under the gazebo next to pool. Yum!
7:00-10:00PM	Tiki DJ. Join us under the canopy for some music with island flair.
July 24-26 – Haverhill Fair Weekend
Saturday
2:00PM	Kiddie tractor pull. Sign up in store prior to 2:00PM. Details to follow.
3:00PM	Ice cream social ($). Join us for the biggest sundae around! Pick your own ice cream and toppings. YUM!
July 31 - August 2 – Cook-off Weekend
Saturday
2:00PM	Squirt gun tag. Bring your own squirt guns and get ready to get wet! Kids and adults welcome, location TBA.
4:00PM	Cook-off meets under canopy by pool. Judges will pick 3 winners in 3 different categories. Details to follow.

August
August 7-9 – Pirates of the White Mountains
Saturday
2:00PM	Treasure Hunt. Sign up at store before 1:00PM. Children 12 and under only. Teams TBA.
6:00PM	Pirate’s Passage Hayride. Come in costume (optional) as we commandeer the campground! Meet at store.
Dark (approx. 8:30PM)	Outdoor movie night on the big screen! (Weather permitting.) Bring your chairs, blankets, pillows, etc., and cozy up for a movie under the stars. Popcorn and snacks available.
August 14-16 – Dog Days of August

8:00-9:00AM	Breakfast buffet. Let us do the cookin’, with all the favorites! ($). Must sign up by 9:00PM on Friday.
2:00PM	Candy Bar Bingo.
7:00-10:00PM	Come and dance the night away with DJ Pete.
August 21-23 – Scenic View Field Day
Saturday
9:00AM	Water aerobics. Enjoy the pool at its best (quiet), do laps, or jump around in the shallow end for a great workout. Adults only.
2:00PM	Field day activities. TBD.
8:00-9:00PM	Moonlight swim. Extended pool hours will allow you to enjoy swimming under the stars.
August 28-30 – Late Summer Fun
Saturday
10:00AM	Kids’ activity ($). TBD.
2:00PM	Root beer float social ($). YUM! Meet under canopy.

September
September 4-7 – Labor Day Celebration
Saturday
2:00PM	Doggie Parade. Join us to benefit a local no-kill shelter. All participants must bring a minimum $5.00 donation to participate. ALL proceeds will be donated to the shelter. So dress up your adorable pooch and join us for a good cause!
7:00-10:00PM	Join us under the canopy for a tribute to rock and roll. Pete Winn and his band, Lowdown, will get you moving!
Sunday
2:00PM	Candy Bar Bingo.
5:00-6:00PM	Potato and Corn Bake ($). If you missed out last year, you won’t want to again. Potato includes ALL the fixings: bacon, broccoli, chives, sour cream, butter, and cheese! Corn is the best around. Eat in or take back to your site. It’s a MEAL!
September 25-27 – 7th Annual Halloweekend - It’s spooktacular!
Saturday - Site Decorating Contest.
10:00AM	Kids’ Activity. Paint your own pumpkin ($). Bring your own pumpkin or reserve one at time of booking.
2:00PM	Trick or Treating.
Dark	Haunted House. You won’t want to miss this. WE DO IT BIG!

October
October 9-12 – Columbus Day Weekend
Saturday
2:00PM	Candy Bar Bingo.
5:30PM	End of the year pot-luck supper. Bring a dish to share. BYOB and tableware.
Sunday
2:00PM	Apple pie a la mode ($). Join us for homemade apple pie with a scoop of ice cream (optional). YUM!
Monday - Campground closes for season. Thank you for another great year! See you in the Spring.

Activities may be added as well, so check at store for current weekend activities.
Activities are always posted outside the rec hall on the giant white board.
Squirt gun hayrides are added on hot weekends whenever possible.
